Housed in a 1904 guest house in the quaint town of Genoa, Nevada – located in Carson Valley along the Sierra Nevada range about 20 miles from South Lake Tahoe and less than an hour from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport – the surroundings are reminiscent of days not so long ago when life was simpler. Genoa is noted as Nevada’s first permanent settlement established as a trading post at Mormon Station.
As charming as a picture-perfect postcard, Genoa today feels as it did yesterday – with wildlife and a slower pace with a mindful approach to life.
Daniel’s captures that essence and provides a fine dining experience that captures the senses – heart, soul and mind. Located in the former location of the renowned La Ferme, Daniel’s sets out to create a culinary experience that would do its history proud.
Yves Gidot, the French chef at the helm of La Ferme, returns to his French roots as chef of Daniels serving up an entirely new menu. Since 2015, Chef Gidot has overseen the kitchen at the restaurant’s sister property, The Pink House, also located in Genoa. It’s a homecoming and one that the dinners will relish with a French country menu using only the freshest ingredients.
